Yep. The old man used to do that. He said batteries got to high so this way he didn't have to turn on a light to find them. Lol some of the places he goes in. No way in hell I wouldn't have it lit up. Lol

I might have a depth finder. I will see if it still works. I have two trolling motors but one is 24v and the other is 36v. Maybe over kill for a pond rig.

I would go with dw. Reg boat will not drift as much with the wind. One day I will set up a pontoon to fish in the winter and drag the kids around in the summer.
