Busy, Busy, Busy at Scenic City Fishing
In the last 17 days me and my Scenic City Fishing guide partners have done 23 trips on Chickamauga and Nickajack Lakes. Hell Yeah The bass fishing has been on fire and Capt. Ben Hayes has been putting the hammer down. Us catfish folks have been putting great numbers in the boat as well, and when we ...

Two TARP's
I had several guide trips postpone in the past week due to the extreme cold. I hadn't been on huge numbers of crappie (on Chickamauga Lake), but I lost touch with the ones I had been on. Before this week's trips I needed to try and find a few on Friday. My good friend Ed McCoy was happy to tag along...

Scenic City Fishing March Report
I've been lazy about posting reports. Time for a little "catch up." The fishing guide business is always slow in winter... maybe two dozen guide trips in January and February. Plus my freak catch of a 12.6 lb. largemouth while trolling for crappie on Valentines Day. Hell Yeah I did six guide trips i...

The Beaver Dam Lake hunt was AWESOME! We whacked 'em! I'll post link to the story and photos here when I'm done.

Brian's Big Blue - Coldwater Cats
Brian Dunigan hung tough in Saturday's extreme cold and finally got to do battle with a trophy-sized blue catfish on Chickamauga Lake. #lifeisgood #coldwatercats

We Love Dead Gadwalls
A few pictures from Saturday's hunt. I'm headed Tuesday for a couple of day's hunting at Beaver Dam Lake near Tunica, MS (www.beaverdamducks.com/). Just curious if anybody has ever been there?

More Smallmouth in the Net
Here's a couple of photo slideshows of my most recent trips in the Chickamauga Dam Tailwaters in Chattanooga. For two weeks we were HAMMERING big smallmouth. That bite has slowed some, but we're still catching a few. I suspect you folks who fish Wheeler, Wilson or Pickwick Tailwaters are, or could b...

A Record Catfish Smackdown
Adam Gossett, Donnie Myatt and their good friend Chris ... all from Lyles, TN ... drove over to fish with me Saturday. This threesome fished with me two years ago and decided it was time for Round Two. We started out fishing in Nickajack Reservoir, downstream from Chickamauga Dam (in Chattanooga, TN...

Free Ride to Virginia
Enjoyed a short but fun morning on Chickamauga Lake (in Chattanooga, TN) with Ted and Willa Lutz. A nice cooler full of catfish fillets won a free ride to Virginia. :D

Big Fish Drought Broken
I have admittedly been on a "Big Fish Drought" recently. While catching good numbers, the trophy cats have eluded my boat in recent weeks. But Steve Proctor broke the drought Sunday! On top of that, he and Cynthia Khalife (from Denver, Colorado) put the smackdown on big numbers of quality fish. It w...

Re: She'll Fish on the First Date
Thanks for the "Welcomes!" While I don't live there, I actually consider Alabama my "home state" for duck hunting. The Alabama Game & Fish folks have done a great job with the waterfowl WMA's in Northeast Alabama. They're actually not as good as they used to be, but still a great resource. These day...

She'll Fish on the First Date
I had a fun Thursday morning fishing with Kayla. She was the "model" for this story (http://bit.ly/sallyan) I wrote about "Sally Ann," with one exception. Unlike Sally Ann, this girl can fish! And she dearly loves her catfish! #girlscanfishtoo kayla_web4.jpg kayla_web2.jpg kayla_web5.jpg Today's cli...
