Killed this little guy here at the house. First kill with my new Tikka T3x Hunter and my 120gr Barnes TTSX handloads. Not the best shot but he dropped right there and was dead in a couple minutes. Still getting used to the light trigger on the rifle.

Found me a new 20ga 870 last week and put the mossy oak graphics kit on it. It’s very light and shoots dam straight. Can’t wait to get in the woods.

It's actually 2 different plots. I think this I same group of birds. The plots aren't that far apart and pics were taken 2 days apart. We had another group of bigger gobblers the same time one of these pics were taken that were in another plot. No pic was taken of them. Come on march.

Not very many but we are leaning more and more every spring. We are extremely proud of each bird and each was a hard learning experience. Can't wait to see what lessons are to be learned this year.

Still use a clearcut that grown up like this in the spring? Last year it was alot cleaner in here and always had turkeys in it. Areas in it are pretty tall bit some areas I can see lots of the small pines that were planted last year.

I think that's why my deer season has sucked this year. I spend more time exploring the woods where I've heard turkeys googling on the roost the last couple years, and not looking for deer sign. We haven't seen any turkeys on our place since the spring. The 2 walked out and ate in pot for about 45 mins. It was good to see gobblers. Hope there's more than just the 2 of them around.
