What kind of sunflowers

Are best to plant for doves? I'm gonna give em a try again this year I think. The deer usually wipe them out when they get about knee high but maybe if I plant enough they won't eat em all

I’ve always used black oil sunflowers. But the same with you, damn if any ever make it hardly cause the deer eat em down. I’ve started just planting straight up wheat. And doves been doing good on it last few years.
