G5 Montec

Post by AC870 »

Inherited a few when I bought my gently used bow last January. What's y'all's opinion on these? How do you sharpen 'em, just run 'em across a flat stone? I have these and Snuffers. Both shot pretty well in testing today. I may not buy new broad heads after all.

I've had better luck using a chain saw blade sharpener when sharpening blades....

Yup, flat stone is best way to sharpen a Montec. I've killed a few deer with them, and my daughter killed her 1st buck with a Montec out of her x-bow. If you got 'em, shoot 'em!! Snuffers are nasty on a deer too, I'd say your set on broadheads.

Look at them and then look at trash and there ya go. Shot a 220 8pt in central Al. Never bleed a drop. After being double lunged. We got lucky and walked up on him 100 yards away.
