1st sit - Paging DW or other experts

Post by sdw »

Tried my first sit of the season last night. I was out by 1am. I'm not sure if it was from being worn out from hauling two 30 packs of natty up the tree with my other gear or if I'm just not used to sitting that long yet. At any rate, I noticed about 18 beers in that I really needed a bigger pack to throw my empties in. What kind of pack do y'all recommend for a comfortable and quiet 11pm to 3am sit or similar? I could barely move without knocking beer cans off the climber and causing all kinds of noise. Head Slap

I crush them vertically with my hand. You may require 2 hands for this. Put them back in said cooler. Lol

Does the sound of crushing aluminum cans scare the deer? Or is it similar to rattling antlers and draws in the big boys to see what's going on?

TR, you're just mad because drinking beer is frowned upon when you're knocked up.

If your not seeing anything you need a bigger spotlight OR you're sitting to close to the corn pile [emoji23]

I agree with the spotlight. But you can never sit too close to the corn.

I poke holes in them and send them down my pull up rope. That way when your double vision kicks in on what you think is a big buck you can rattle the cans around and make him stop
