Shelling peas

I found this video on Youtube and I ordered me one off of Amazon. The wife and I just got thru shelling three 5 gallon buckets, it took us about 2 and 1/2 hours, but it was alot better than doing it by hand. We will be faster next time, we had to get used to it and work out a few bugs. My wife took a couple of pics and I will add them later. (pics added)

This sheller cost $40.00 and I would have paid more for it, made a boring job a little faster and easier.

If you will lay your peas out for a day. They won't crush as bad in the sheller. Just let them dry a little. We have one that my great grandfather had. The roller looks like a mini old washing machine. It's great for kids and adults with all the exposed gears and pulleys.
