but how many can cook a 1/2 chicken that will make you suck the bones?

Fine looking meal right there....and I agree with ya chicken is hard to get right. Tell us how you fixed that if you will.

Without going in to a lot of detail, because everyone has their own style when if comes to BBQ chicken, I have found bigger is not better. For me it is just about impossible to BBQ a 1/2 chicken if the chicken is large and fat, mine always turn out over cooked and dry. Most grocery stores only carry the large baking hens. We BBQ pullets (young hens) and when we find some at the grocery store we usually buy three or four and have the butcher split them and we vacuum seal them at home. I cook them slow and shoot for done/well done.

The above photo is of a meal on a small plate, that is not a full size plate, as you can see, the 1/2 hen is small and a lot easier to cook.
