Will turkeys?

Post by Marshmud991 »

Still use a clearcut that grown up like this in the spring? Last year it was alot cleaner in here and always had turkeys in it. Areas in it are pretty tall bit some areas I can see lots of the small pines that were planted last year.

Like they said...they'll use it for nesting....and burning the sucker will open it up and they'll be all in it.....

Guys - you can't burn a year old (loblolly) pine plantation. Not an option. Plus I'm pretty sure this is leased timber company land.

I believe they will walk through it for a couple more Springs. Probably no more standing around and strutting all day. But they won't hesitate to walk through it this Spring.
