Livewells.....

Post by Tru-Talker »

What do you guys normally use to clean your livewells out with once they get a little nasty funky smell in em? I've always been told to use baking soda...... So as it don't hurt the fish.. I've also been told just plain ol soap and water....... Y'all use anything different? Or anything better I could use?

If it don't smell like my ex, don't clean it. But I'd say a little bleach and rinse 2 or 3 times real good

My dad caught a bunch of skip jack to use for bait at the river. He some how forgot about them. I reminded him a week later. I drug the boat to the back corner of the property after he cleaned it out with baking soda several times. We just had to open the well up and let it air. It smelt like stage side at wesley's.

I use baking soda. Just scrub it and let them drain. I leave the lids open when I park it.
