Found some crappie
Early bite was good for about 2 hours, then they slowed up a good bit. Left around lunch. Had 39 crappie and one Spottes bass. Won’t be long and it’ll be wide open.

Fine mess! They been absolutely slaying 'em on Guntersville for a few weeks now and lots of big fish. TN deer season is over now and I can fish a little.
The older I get the more I understand why roosters just scream to start their day.

That’s great! My neighbor and I went on a wildcat venture last week and caught 13 keepers in a couple hours. Just good to know some are biting.

It was slow here most of last year, they started picking up In January and they still are finicky sometimes. Craziest year I ever seen for fish and deer.

I see lots of posts where folks are slaying 'em on Guntersville. I'm gonna do a little sauger fishing at the dam after work this evening. I ain't had a mess of Jacks in several years and it's been a banner season for them so far.

Them jacks are some fine eating. Seems like the coldest nastiest weather we could catch em. Uncle Thurman used to take me below the damn when I was growing up, around New Years usually. Miss them days
