Duck season opener

Post by bobwhite »

We always hunt public water on the opener and on most weekends during duck sseason.....we saw a few ducks yesterday but didn't fire a shot. Today was a perfect morning....instead of 20 boats at the landing there was only 3 including us. I wound up with a juvenile Gadwall and lost two Drake Woodies in some tall reeds.....I hate to loose em....I really do. Here is a pic of my little Gadwall.....

We also got checked by the GW today.......first time in probably 15 years.....he's a new guy and he was really nice....glad to have him around on the lake.

Went both mornings and never fired a shot! It's pretty damn bad down here.

As bad as the drought has been....I'm surprised there is any water at all for em....
