Anyone ever fish the tail waters of this? Below the dam. Gonna give it a go before long, stripers and cats is what I'm after

I'd like to hear this answer. I fished it once with no luck. Weather had been bad and water was rough. When I put in the fella that ran the launch said "you sure you wanna put that little boat in that water?" I should've went elsewhere. Nothing bad happened, but it was hell on my little boat.

I used to fish it alot and have seen some huge saltwater stripe caught with flukes and live shad just above the fishing peir on the west side in front of the turbins. Cats come from a hole on the east side above the hazardous water sign until the water warms up then they move on up in shallower waters. The cats don't bite much without the turbins running but the stripe may come and go anytime anywhere. Used to catch a lot of bass schooling there also.
